The Warriors Community Foundation, in partnership with JP Morgan Chase and the Good Tidings Foundation, unveiled a newly refurbished basketball court at the West Contra Costa Salesian Boys and Girls Club on Monday, March 4th. The dedication was followed by a basketball clinic for local youth, hosted by Warriors Basketball Camp.
The refurbished court was made possible by the Makin’ Hoops program, a partnership between the Warriors Community Foundation and the Good Tidings Foundation, which has refurbished more than 80 basketball courts around the Bay Area. The renovation work included the refinishing of over 7,500 square feet of hardwood flooring with custom-made wall pads and game lines for multiple sports. The court design features unique Golden State Warriors influences, and a ‘Hear Us Roar’ wall mural, completed by Allison ‘Hueman’ Titani, with nods to the Warriors’ Women’s Empowerment Month celebrations that took place throughout March. This marks the 200th project created by the Good Tidings Foundation over the past 25 years.
